Should You Relocate for Retirement? [Episode 189]

March 6, 2021 by jceditor

Attorney-CPA Joe Cordell and co-host Jill Enders are joined by author Janet Blazer to discuss how to plan for retirement if you plan on spending your golden years in a new location.

Ms. Blazer was a journalist in California but at age 50 decided to move to Mazatlán, Mexico, to start a publication and spend her retirement years.

Moving to a new place and starting a new adventure in retirement might be intimidating to some, but in many cases in can lead to greater fulfilment and can even be more affordable in some instances.

Ms. Blazer discusses what to keep in mind if a big move might be in your retirement plans, including logistics, how to adapt to a new home, how to financially plan for the move, and how to get the most enjoyment out of the entire experience.

If you are nearing retirement and need help planning for your next step, get in touch with an attorney at TuckerAllen.
