42nd Annual St. Louis Senior Olympics – Life’s Third Act

Jill Enders is joined by Phil Ruben, Development Manager for the Jewish Community Center, to discuss the 42nd annual St. Louis Senior Olympics.

The St. Louis Senior Olympics is a Masters-style athletic competition that promotes the health and wellness of men and women by providing them with opportunities to participate in competitive sports and social events.

The annual event is organized by the Jewish Community Center. It involves the help of 300+ volunteers. More than 1,200 athletes participate in over 90 events.

Mr. Ruben discusses his feelings about the event as it resumes following two years of a pandemic, the response from the athletes, his passion for the event, and more.
